the difference is where, in order of priority, they get paid. creditor against the mass would be deemed far more important and would get a far bigger percentage of monies back dependent upon the companies financial position. ordinary creditors have no priority and usually end up with a small or non existent share of the pot - Again depending on the financial status of the company.
