How to get electricity connected?

Hi,

Is the electricity connected automatically or do I need to contact PW to request a connection?  Also does anyone have the number for the PW key holding office so I can give permission for my aircon company to collect the key from them?

To get electricity on, the company who supply the power, Iberdrola, will need to be contacted and they should arrange the switch over from builders to full electricity (there is a connection charge of approx 200Euro). However, when you got the paperwork for completion from Polaris there should have been a form to fill in and send back, so Polaris would take responsibility for switch over. If you either did not get this form or did not fill in and return I think you may have to go through your Solicitor. Polaris may contact Iberdrola for you but if you did not follow the above then I have my doubts.

i am aware centre is spelt wrong but christina at customer services wrote it out for me. i have received emails from them with this spelling.

Thanks for the help guys - I completed by POA so have no idea what forms were completed or not - I'm trying both my solicitor and PW customer services

Hi Wayne,

We completed by POA and all the paperwork was done for us.

We were told by our solicitor that the electricity and water connection paperwork, direct debit etc, had to be signed,  then seen by the notary and rubber stamped  before he could complete so you should find all this has been done.

That said my advice would be "TAKE NOTHING FOR GRANTED"

I havent got a clue if i signed something - i think i did as there was mention of electric and water at the completion - but its all a bit overwhelming.   however, sin ce i returned to uk have had an email from the elctric company with ? contract all in spanish which they want me to sign.  dont have a clue if that helps or not.

folowing other advice i will contact the call centre via email.
