Hi Dave,
Mrs Welshwizard and I were talking about someone starting an airport pick up/ drop off service because my parents won't want to drive a hire car if they use our place.
I was told anyone carrying out that sort of service will need a 'local transportation licence' to do it and they are quite difficult to get hold of, hence, not many taxis coming and going around the Condado complex.
I don't mean to question your business plans mate, but if you haven't already looked into this, please do.
If this is old news to you and you are already sorted, I will go away and stop being a pest.

Hi Dave,
Welshwizard is right you do need a licence in Spain to do the airport runs. The reason the taxis are so dear is that these licences cost so much. My friend out there says that if you do these runs you have to be quite clever when you pick people up, act like they're friends and don't stand there with a name board. He told me of a man that was asked to meet a Spaniard at Camposol to take him to San Javier and as he was getting into his car the police turned up and arrested him and he got a very big fine.
Like WW says I'm sure you've done your homework so you should be fine and best of luck with it.

Yes I understand about licence. The insurance I have covers me for payment to take clients around , this is why I am not promoting it only EOS and clients of any companies who refer. There are a few advertising but do not think they are licenced . People without cars need someone who can take them around to see area, do not see a local taxi firm doing that.
