Hi, we also purchased two apartments in Phase 3, Block 17.  We were on holidays in Marbella in July '06 and went on site to see how things were progressing.  It certainly doesn't look like our phase will be ready until 2008.  We were also surprised that phase 1 and phase 2 were empty.  Obviously they can't issue a habitation order until work has finished on site.  Great to find this site, looking forward to corresponding with all other new residents!

I have purchased in block 19 and have been told by the developer, who has been in contact with the builders, that this block will complete Dec 2007.  I had been told that it would be Spring 2008 from another buyer, but they were in another block.  So may be best to drop the developer an email. 

I went out in September and phase 1 is fantastic.  It will be really nice when it's all complete.  If you look on the developer's website www.duquesagoldenmile.com (I think from memory) there is a detailed aerial view taken recently.  If you have a site map you will be able to see how far your block has progressed in relation to other blocks.

I have received an update form my agent this week which suggests that Block 17 on Phase 3 will now be completing Feb 08.

Date seems to change every time it is updated, but as the previous report suggested May 08, then does seem to be going back in right direction.

My husband is at Duquesa Village this weekend. He was hoping to get on site to view block 17 but we were told for security reasons he could not.  So he is showing a friend the show apartment so will be meeting up with ros y falcon.  If he receives any further update on block 17 we will let you know. Our contract states it should have been ready before summer 07, so February 08 is a bit worrying.

He will be taking photos of block 17 and surrounding area so we will post them on the site.

I have been in touch with the developer this week and have been told that blocks 17/18/19 are completing at the end of July 2007.  I have been told by him that it would be the end of Dec 2007 some time ago.  Did not think it would be earlier than he said before. 

Has anybody else any news?  Presume they will contact us when we need to start doing something?

Given the conflicting information re completion on Block 17, I emailed Ros-y-Falcon & post below the response rec'd.

'The lattest news we have from the building company are that the works in block nº 17 are going to be finished by July 2007. When we will have the occupancy lisence is another matter that cannot be taken for sure in advance. Some times it takes 1 month others 3 or 4. Apart from that, not everybody can complete the same month. You should keep in touch with your solicitor regarding this matter

Given the delays in getting the occupancy licence of Phases 1 & 2, I somehow doubt we will be in before the end of the summer. This particularly as there is still the swimming pool & further blocks to go behind block 17.

Thanks for the photo's recently posted, they do confirm that work is progressing even if not as quick as we had all originally hoped for.

Hope not! We were told we have a car park and storage room within this area. Have you heard otherwise?

I have posted some pics after our visit last week. The first ones are of Phase 3, the top end of the site which you have to get thru' to access Phase 1 and 2. The second set of pics are of Phase 2 mainly and the pool areas as we are in this part.

Phase 3 is a building site at the moment but there seems to be a lot of builders on site and i saw significant progress from two months earlier. I reckon by the end of Summer it will look very different.

We definately have a car space and a lock up in our block (8), I assumed all of us would.

We also called in at our Solicitors to sign our wills and agree our contents insurance cover, which i would say is essential if you haven't considered this yet. Also picked up my Solbank Maestro card, so i dont have to bring euros over with me.

Just uncovered the price list , dated 19/12/06, of phase 3 which shows only 4 apartments remaining for sale in block 15. when i was in the office enquiring about purchasing another apartment the sales person told me that these in block 15 have no garage and the price sheet shows the same , ie no G in the garage colunm. I asummed wrongly i hope that all block 15 didnt have a garage but probably it is only these 4 remaining to be sold. They are in stairways 59 and 60.
