Hi Bev, im not sure,  will find out for you. What i can tell you tho is we have an extremely hot spanish policeman that patrols around San cayetano and im ashamed to say i have just flirted terribly with him  Hubby thought it was hilarious as in my efforts to impress and show what good citizens we are i tripped over our sons scooter!!! hahahahahaah

Hi to all the happy purchasers in San Cayetano, just wanted to bring this thread back to the top of the listings.  Can't wait till we're back on 12 October - can anyone tell me if it will still be eating al fresco weather then.  Is it raining there this week? - the forecasts say so and we have had some sunshine in the UK in the last few days (believe it or not).

It's looking lovely and most of us that live here are very pleased with our new homes.

Hi Jean & Chris,

We are currently dotting the i's and crossing the t's on the paperwork at the moment plus filling a large van with goodies to bring over. ( started off with filling the car boot and back seat but we are long past that stage now)

Hope to see you all within the next few weeks.

Best Regards

Hi Jan & Keith

Looking forward to seeing you again in October - hopefully Bermans will be open & we can raise that bacardi & coke to our mate Ian !!! We can't wait to be back in Spain !!!

It will be good if we are stilll be able to eat alfresco when we are out there, as there hasn't been much of that in the UK this year.
Tina Solera - hopefully that rain will cool you down !!!! (only joking !!!!)

Jean & Chris - can't believe you are so excited about rain - how different it is 2 hours away from here!!

Look forward to seeing you all

Sue & David

P.S. Karen's place is great to rent - if we didn't have a place out there we would be renting it !!!

Hi Sue

Yes i have cooled down, it was a bit chilly today and extremely wet. BUT even when it rains we love being here, we cant hog the sun all the time can we? or can we??

also cool as didnt see mr hunky policeman today. my friends father is a spanish policeman and apparently told mr hunky to look after me if i have any trouble. That was a very dangerous thing to say. i shall be in trouble everyday now!!! I shall go out of my way to be in trouble if mr hunk is going to protect me AYUDA ME AYUDA ME.
What will hubby say??????

Not alfresco weather today but apparently back in the high 20s next week.

We are in sc now and will stay for another week. weather is shocking. It has not stopped raining since Wednesday that we arrived. Workers are working but yesterday it was flooded in SC. We are very impressed so far. They have already started the work on second floors. Got some picture which I will put them on site as soon as we are back in uk. (using the hotel internet and keyboard is not very good.)

We are in Los Alcazares at the moment. Does anyone living here know if there is anywhere interesting to go at night times. The night life here is very quiet.

Thanks

Mity

Hi Cricket Fan

well, we've bought one of the quads on the phase2. From what we've seen most of the houses on phase1 was completed apart from the gardens which I don't know if they have left it because of personal choice????. Hester said there will be a sport complex (Tennis court, Small drive range, gym and possibly indoor swimming pool and they are going to get license by november this year. She said they are going to complete the phase2 next year around this time. This is as much as I know and I was happy about what I was seeing. Anyway still cloudy here and hopefully it will pick up tomorrow. It is just a shame that there are plenty of activities here but we can't do anything because of the weather. Sorry guys you will have to forgive me if I spell anything wrong. English is my second language and I don't see any spelling check here.

Hi Sue and David,

Thanks for your kind words!

We are more than happy that we bought and have had lots of happy times in San Cayetano already, meeting lots of new friends - I only wish we could come over more often!

Hopefully we can see you soon , either in San Cayetano or over here.

Take care,

Karen

Hi mity

regarding nightlife... next to Los Aalcazaras is Los Narejos... under the arches, a friend and i usually go to the 2 bars there which stay open till goodness knows what hour . Good music, lots of dancing, if thats what yr looking for. i cant remember the names as i can never pronounce them properly but one of the bars is bright pink, the other a few doors up on the roundabout. I think its mainly spanish people who go there.

Murcia is also excellent for nightlife but obviously much further to go!!!

p.s if yr here on the 8th the los alcazaras fiesta starts!!

Hi Tinasolera

Thanks for your reply. Since weather turned nice and sunny, people are comming out again. it is just first few nights of our arrival that we felt Los Alcazares is like a ghost town. Hardly anyone was out. We will try to find this place tonight. I am so happy now it is sunny. It makes it so different. We heard Spanish don´t like to go out when it is raining. Can´t wait to live here.

Thanks again.

Mity

The bar/nightclub on the roundabout is called Varazu and the other one is the Pink Club.

I think you will find Fri & Sat will be busy mainly with the 16/25 year old Spanish.

This is a fact as we visited both recently.

ah yes Varazu is the one. never took notice of the name of the other one but couldnt miss the pink or the rather large bouncers!!!! we went on sat night and were both jam packed. really enjoyed both but must admit felt a bit old in them both so 16 to 25yrs sounds about right

To all, just enjoy. hope to be back again soon.

Hi we have now been SC for eight months and love it here.  It has taken us a while to get used to the slower pace of life but we are getting there. Things do get done but slowly slowly and little by little.  The people both English and Spanish are friendly and we certainly would not swop our life here in Spain for one back in UK.
Patience is a great thing and great things come to those who wait.  I am sure the site will be completed and to a very high standard.  In our job we visit many urbanisations and golf courses and the quality of SC is amazing compared to other builders we are very glad we have bought a Taray property.
