PP rejects calls to cut Royal Household's budget

The ruling Partido Popular (PP) has rejected calls from members of left-wing opposition parties Izquierda Plural, UPyD, BNG and ERC to reduce the budget for the Royal Household (Casa del Rey), arguing that it has had "more cuts" than any other sector over the past few years. The Government has set the Royal Household's budget at 7.93 million euros for 2013, 4% less than this year's budget, which was a total of 8.26 million.
