Tina & Zoe went to Barcelona to watch the film documentary, Febrero, about galgos ..but nothing's simple.....
Monday, December 9, 2013

On 5th December Tina .. President of Galgos del Sol .. & Zoe Moran, a dedicated volunteer & fosterer for GdS, drove to Barcelona to watch the film documentary, Febrero, about galgos by Waggington Tales and SOS Galgos.

In Tina's own words.. "On our way to Barcelona to watch the film documentary about galgos by Waggington Tales and SOS Galgos and we stumble across a pregnant podenco on the motorway service station.... Nooooooooooo"

"Whilst trying to catch the pregnant Podenca we stumble across this emaciated hunting dog that was caught in a snare trap. Her foot has been ripped off and the bones are exposed below....she's going to have to hop on board and come to Barcelona with us... GULP!!!!!"

"Update on this girl. When we got to Barcelona Anna at SOS Galgos kindly helped us out and arranged for this girl to go to Hospital Veterinaros. Here they will operate on the leg and take over her care including finding an adoption. SOS Galgos have been so kind and we thank them so much.

The documentary they made with Waggington Tales called Febrero that we watched at the cinema with them last night was fantastic. We will post all the details soon of when and where/how you can watch it... dont miss it. Thanks Anna for all your help and excellent work xxx"

"We hope to have an update really soon on the hunting dog. Bone was exposed on the bottom of the leg, for sure it will need amputating. We are just waiting to hear from SOS Galgos on how her op went."

Update on the pregnant Podenca. "We went back for the pregnant podenca but sadly she would not let herself be caught. We have left our card at the services and if they can catch her we will arrange collection. Poor baby!!!!!"
