taking a motorbike test in spain

hiya, im just about to move over to spain in the la marina area of the costa blanca,i was wondering how i will go about getting a bike licence, i have several bikes and although i own them i have never passed my test, i have no convictions or anything like that, i just thought that with a change of life/location it is about time i tryed something new, all my bikes are 750cc and over does that make any difference on the test? also how soon would i be able to take the test after moving as i will be living with relatives for the first couple of months....thanx

How have you managed to ride your bikes without passing a road test ? 

I had to take my CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) then pass a theory test followed by a road test within, I think, three years. (I'm talking in the UK not in Spain). Just interested.

In Spain if you have a standard car license you can ride a bike up to 125cc. Thereafter you need to take the test. You go to a centre and register with them. The scooter test was just under 300 euros if I recall correctly for my two, and that was a theory one only.

For a higher cc, to 125 its theory only, and that pass counts towards the car test which is theory and practise.

Go to a centre and ask them but you will have to have a good level of Spanish.

Otherwise, do it in the UK and then change your license when you get here.

There is a new driving school in Hondon de las Nieves (CBS) that has a poster in the window about taking driving lessons and test conducted in English. If you can get this service here there must be an option on or near the coast as well.
