Staying in Almoradi - getting about by bus or taxi ?

Hi

going to be in Almoradi in June for a couple of weeks and would like to leave the car there as much as possible and get about by bus or taxi so we can both relax, have a drink whenever we fancy and not have to worry about where to park etc.

Will we struggle being non spanish speakers?

the places i would like to go to will be a day in alicante, torreveija, guadamar etc. and out for meals, bars etc in evening

is there a good bus service from almoradi.

are taxis quite reasonable, what sort of price would we be looking at to go to these places.

sorry so many questions but any advice or contacts for good taxis would be very gratefully received. really really looking forward to holiday so want to be as prepared as poss

Chris & Nicola who own a British shop in Almoradi take people all over at very moderate charges. Lots of our friends use Chris. He does airport runs & longer distance trips. (Our friends in La Marina had Chris take eight of them in his minibus to Benidorm then he collected them a few days later).

Hi Sue yee more is right Chris and Nicola are very reasonable The shop is down by the mediccal centre amd Luz de almoradi apartments. ( if You face the church in the square it is straight down the road to your right) There are also daily bus services to Alicante.Torrevieja and Guardamar. There are 2 time tables  a winter and a summer one. Pat.

It's a food shop, they say they'll try to get you anything that you crave too. They're really attentive people.

Email them on info@nickel-management.net & ask them questions, that's best  as I don't know the name of their shop. 

Hola More l will be out in Almoradi on the 21s April- 1st  May cant wait.Then June 22nd- July 3rd and Sep 29th - Oct 9th.Pat.

I would want to check on the insurance of these people that are running people about as if they are not insured to carry passengers for reward you and them will be at risk of a very heavy fine from the Guardia So beware what you are doing
