My stupid boyfriend says...............................German Shepheard dogs have webbed feet !! He says this because of the snowy mountains in Germany!!!!!! Can anyone tell him that this is rubbish!!!!

You dont think he means German Shepherd Frogs do you? Now they definitely have webbed feet but an extremely rare species. A lot of dogs have in fact got "webbed" feet although not to look at the way you think. Particularly hunting dogs - had a basset hound years ago and he had webbed feet and there are no gaps between the toes of our Golden Retriever - best thing to do is find a friendly GSD and look for yourself - it might be true - not sure any dog has them coz of the snow though - think its more to aid their 100metres butterfly.

What did I say??? GRs have got webbed feet (of a description) there is skin between the toes that means that when they swim their is resistance to the water - Basset Hounds definitely have them - cant speak for GSDs as I have never looked - have a bet with him and then get him to prove it. Unless you find a GSF of course but as i say they are very very rare and only normally out at night when its very dark

I owned a very friendly GSD for 12 years and her feet definately weren't webbed.

It's water dogs which have the webbed feet and there are a coupld of breeds, newfoundland and portuguese water dog and a few others.

Why not do a google search and surprise him with your knowledge

Does anyone out there have an opinion on the rain drops being bigger so we get even wetter???? Boyfriend wants to know if anyone agrees with him lol

 Basically any dog that is bred for working and hunting in water has webbed toes. I found this list of breeds with webbed toes but there are many other (usually cross-bred) dogs with degrees of webbedness depending on their cross breeding.
