I'm thinking about moving over to spain this year for a couple of years break from work and would like advice on were i should be looking. So far i have thought about the Estepona area, i'm a single male of 39 looking for somewhere reasonably lively but not maybe as lively as Marbella!!

have you tried looking at somewhere on the costa blanca ???

javea is a lively place if you want resturants javea has them if you want a good amount of tourists javea has them !!!

it is mainly a tourist location though it can be quite quiet in the off season months!!!

just look it up on google earth or on the net it can be any more difficult!!

Tarifa and Costa de la Luz are good destinations in your case I think!

Marbella isnt just for ravers you know, despite the reputation. Many lovely restaurants, places to meet people and life going on all the time. Its never totally dead, even in wintertime and always people out and about.

Estepona is more of a working town, like Fuengirola. Perhaos you should take time to visit all places and then you will know where you feel more at home.

Thanks for all your good advice. I know i need to have a good explore once i'm here and that i shouldn't discount anywhere yet. I'm hoping to come over in the next 2 months to reccy the area and get out of gloomy London!

sabinillas/duquesa area is worth a visit..

it is cheaper than marbella and there is a great choice of restarants with large ex pat community.

sabinillas , manilva and casares are excellent.
