Does anyone have precise details as to where Ikea is situated in Malaga. My Ikea Spain website not working very well. Is it anywhere near where the train station from Funergirola arrives or near El Corte Ingles main store in the centre of Malaga?

It's out of town, before the airport , from Fuengirola direction.  We caught the Malaga bus from Benalmadena and it stopped very close by.  We asked the driver to tell us when to get off but we spotted it from the main road.  It's only a few minutes walk from the bus stop but  there is not a proper foot path, unless things have changed since early November. It's a little trickier to reach the bus stop for the return journey but an Ikea assistant told us that it was about a 20 min walk to the train station at the shopping centre, which I can't remember the name of, located before the airport stop.  Hope this helps.

Thanks Crackers, I have used the train regularly from Fuengirola to Malaga while I am over there. I have just checked the timetable . . . the stop before the Airport is San Julian (but most trains do not stop at this station) . . . so it's most likely Plaza Mayor (where the Multiplex Cinema plus others is situated. Still, it will be a lot easier to access than travelling to Seville. Thanks again.

Yes it is the Plaza Mayor train station.  I've just been over to Spain and used the Fuengirola >Malaga train and you can see Ikea from this train station, it looks really close.
