My wife and I have just sold one of our spanish properties. After ringing around alot to see the most cost effective way to send the money back as the bank wanted to charge us 1% to move our own money!!!!! We were instructed to order a spanish cheque book by HiFX. It took 4 days and was available from our Cam bank. HiFX offered us a fantastic rate and as euro is strong against the pound at the moment we fixed a rate and gave them a cheque. They cleared our cheque in 5 days and the agreed amount was deposited into our Llyods account. We were notified by HiFX when the euro cheque had cleared and couldn't believe it when our funds were in our uk bank account 4 hours after the notification!!! We had no spanish bank sending fee and HiFX charged us nothing at all!!! infact in checking rates with other currency providers we found that they saved us between 1800 euros and 2600 euros!!!! My advice is to shop around, find the best deal for you. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I believe World First give a guarantee that they will get the best rates. I have always used them - friendly and efficient and you can use limit buys/sells for dips and peaks and can also fix rates for the future eg buy 20k @1.28 this month and then next month as well, make monthly payments etc . Definitely worth a look
