AAAAAAAH! the cunning global property group snakes and ladders corporate game!! Methinks better small fish in big pond than big fish (shark?) in ocean.

Yeah, it seems odd to have gone to the top to be almost at the bottom again. It's almost as though we are playing snakes and ladders, mainly snakes!!!

Wrong way round karen. Top one is a dwarf gourami and the bottom one looks like a cichlid of some sort.

Could be any type of ciclid or gourami from the description.

I loved our Gourami gourami who grew to over a foot in a 4ft aquarium.

RIXXY-Take more than a few chips to slow this fella down!!!! he is like a machine!!!! i think someone slipped some viagra in the flake!!!!!

I put a little mermaid in the tank for effect, you wanna see what he does to her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a more serious note, yes Mark the fry do dive into the adults mouth for safety, the fish are totally white and the male is about half as big again as the female.

Don't know of any sites off the top of my head, but will have a think. they could be convict cichlids. Do the fry dive into the parent's mouth when they sense danger approaching? A lot of cichlids are profuse breeders, but usually eat the eggs, unless they are mothbrooders and they will then hach them in their mouth.

We haven't given up yet!! I have just booked flights to Murcia for us over Christmas, so one way or another we will be there!!

Hi Mark,

Apologies for turning this thread into another fishy tale but they are not any of the ones you mentioned.

I have kept tropical fish for sometime now and i have never seen these before.

I bought a pair a few months ago and they have been at it ever since, have to keep the kids away from the tank and turn the telly up sometimes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have looked through various websites and cannot find them anywhere.

If i can keep them apart for 2 minutes i will get my digital camera on them and post piccys, other than that wondered if you could recomend a website that lists every fish goin?

Good luck with MRI

Georgia

Can you get a picture? Are they tropical fish? Sounds like could be livebearers, either guppies, mollies, swordtails or platys. They are the rabbits of the fish world and the female can produce without a male being present!! (so long as a male has been in the tank at some time in the previous 4 months).

There are things going on at the moment, so we'll see.

Mark
