Hi we have just bought an apartment in Luz  De Amoradi it won't be ready till April 08 and we will be moving over for good, so we are hoping to make new friends and learn about the culture there.

We would appreciate any help you can give with regards as to were to buy furniture and other househlod needs in the Almoradi area and if there are any Spanish classes we could attend.

Cheers

Hi Frank & Veronica

 EOS

There are a number of members who have bought in your area. I searched for your development, as EOS has many development message boards, go register if you haven't already. Just click on this link >>> http://www.eyeonspain.com/ViewDevNo.aspx?dev=L110

If you click on this blue link >> Furnishing your property you'll see lots of help for furnishing your new home in Spain. Certainly one store is this http://www.furniture-zone.eu/  (regularly featured too & near your place on edge of Almoradi.)

There's Garcia's, a massive store (actually there are three in a very small area in Torrevieja area) http://www.muebleshnosgarcia.com/  Main one's along the Crevillente road by Carrefour. (Carrefour for all household needs too.) Look at this link from their site http://www.muebleshnosgarcia.com/donde.asp as the map shows all three stores.

Almost forgot... The road between Almoradi & Dolores is choc-a-bloc with furniture shops.

Almoradi town hall website is in Spanish ( but we are talking Spain here, aren't we ? ) but I'll post the link anyway.
