Hi, we too have bought a penthouse apartment in the Cox development! We are going out to Spain on the 19th Jan to see how its coming on.  We were told ours would be ready around June/July '08, but time is not an issue as this is a long term investment for us.

Hi AuntieEm,

we were shown round the development by two girls from Direct Home Spain, Ingrid(whose husband is one of the two builders named Ricardo!) and Tracy. We also looked at other developments built by the same bulilders R2 Developments( Ricardo X=2 geddit!), and were impressed by the quality of the materials used in the builds.

The Sierra Sol apartments and town-houses are about 10mins walk from the town centre and is at the foot of a disused quarry, directly behind there is going to be a picnic area paid for by the local council the views around the area are beautiful. There will be a shared pool between the 68 properties(30 apartments and 38 town-houses). you can find more info at: www.costablanca-villas.com/developments/residencial-sierra-sol/residencial-sierra-sol.php

Tony.

Hi.  My husband, Alan, and I are also buying in Cox but not in the same development.  We are buying in the Grupo Mahersol Dev, (Miradador de la Vega II (see New Development Forum on this site for other newbies)).  Ours should be ready end of March, so fingers crossed.

This site (Eye on Spain) has been a great means of introduction to several of our new neighbours on Mirador II,  and who knows we may now even get to 'meet' other neighbours on the other nearby developments.

Yes I agree, Cox is a lovely little town.  Not too small and not too developed - yet!!  We're planning on an inspection visit beginning of March, and also to sort out our NIE Nos and visit solicitor etc.   Has anyone out there hired a van at any stage?  We plan to do some furniture shopping in June and thought the easiest way would be to hire a small van.   Wondering whether there are any cheaper routes than the obvious big boy hire firms.

Please feel free to say Hi.

Regards

Dilys
