Cheeky blighters!

I don't believe it! 

Whilst surfing the net the other day my secretary came across a rival agency that had actually "lifted" all our photos and text of certain properties for sale on our website.  This means that they haven't had to bother to go out taking photos (probably haven't even got a camera) or write up the description (probably can't even string a coherent sentence together)  the only thing they did manage to change was the prices - on average 5,000 euros more than ours. 

I spoke to a few of the vendors who said that these people had just knocked on their door saying they had clients that wanted to buy.  They then took their names and telephone numbers saying they would call them to make an appointment for the clients to view.   Of course they never did but they now have the vendors "permission" to sell and are gaily flaunting my hard work as their own. 

Sometimes I despair.

If we did that over here we would be done for copyright and strung up by our feet. Guess that it doesn't apply over there then along with the PMA act. What chance have you got? Have you got a sole agency agreement contract signed by your vendors, or does that not happen either? Cheeky buggers, will they stop at nothing???  

What hope is there when all they have is a mobile phone number and no address?  And as for the vendors - well most of them  just want to sell so they don't care who does it and what tactics they use.  Can't blame them.  Anyway, life is too short to worry about it but thanks for your concern.

But then again, if a buyer is having a surf around, you are selling at 5,000 euros less than they are!

Yes - provided they find us amongst the thousands of other agents on the web.

 You could always totally waste their time by showing interest by viewing some of the properties and at least you could meet the pratts face to face while your mate superglues their car door locks; not that you would know anything about it  .

Then put their names on this site to name and shame them.
