Oscars restaurant Duquesa

We tried this restaurant twice over the past couple of weeks and I have to say I was very impressed!

It used to be known as The Straw Donkey which I didn't think was particularly great, but the Canadian owner has rebranded it and now has a new menu which is excellent.

They do a lunchtime "menu del dia" which is great value, €7.95.  I had the chicken wings for starter, barbecue ribs for main and banoffee pie desert.

All three were wonderful, especially the ribs.  They really are very excellent.

Very impressed with the service too.  Very polite, quiet and efficient, all in a very clean and cool environment.

I highly recommend this place (something I couldn't say when it was the straw donkey) but it is very good now and fantastic value for money.

Justin, I can just see you in my "minds eye", in a dark corner, baseball cap pulled down, glasses misted up, with a camera, having photographed all the food in the Restaurant, it must have been a strange sight or is this a new type of fetish?

I always feel like a right wierdo taking pictures of plates of food in restaurants, especially when the waiters see me doing it

I suppose you could call it some sort of odd fetish!
