They only flew to Barcelona & Mallorca but....

 5 months after arriving at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, Easyjet announce their withdrawal.

Hope there were no passengers sitting in the plane waiting for take off!

5 months is an awfully long time to spend on the runway!

But seriously.....the Almeria region (in particular)  is being strangled by the withdrawal of the budget airline services, especially those that fly from the Northern regional airports.

The Spanish government needs to intervene if they wish for the area to continue improving..........otherwise, all the investment that has been forthcoming in recent years will have been for nothing!
