Yes wished we was in the village but would not be getting much sleep.  With the fireworks and celebrations.

But saying that we have them going of here for some reason.

  This is good for Spain.

Justice has been done, the English ref made it a disappointing game by not being tough on the thugs on the field.  Well done to Spain I just wish I was I could be there to celebrate.

OMG - estupendo!!!  We watched the second half in La Masía bar in Jumilla - everybody went crazy!!!  We then went down to the Jardín del Rey Don Pedro to join in the celebrations.  Unfortunately we have responsibilities (our dog Lisa) so we decided we should head home, which was lucky as they are now setting off fireworks across the road from our apartment!!!  Such a good result, well deserved, and it's good to know that people in España can forget about the "crisis" for a while.  Viva España!!!

Monica 77, you are so right about the thugs!

They stretched every rule, then complained when reprimanded. More should have been red carded!!!

However, the true artisans shone through, maybe with a little help from Paul the Pulpo??

And what a lift this has given to a Spain that has suffered so many heartaches, with the economic climate.

At least they can hold their heads high!!!!

VIVA ESPAÑA

Felicitaciones España.

España se Europeo y campeones del mundo.

Spain and the Spanish people deserve such news after suffering so much.

The Spanish Team players are a shining example of what, when the Spanish set their heart on it, can be achieved through much difficulty.

They never dropped their standards of play, and didn't stoop to the way Holland played... thugs in clogs!

Well said Techno....the right team won. As our adopted country we are proud of the acheviement and the way it was celebrated. Thugs in clogs! That'll be the Dutch. It's hard to feel sorry for them

What a superb moment on the global stage for Spain. They played with the grace and style that seems to be uniquely Spain's, never deviating from who they are and how they play. To watch the footwork and teanwork was mesmerizing. For those who found the game dull, they do not understand the game - it was a nail bitter down to the wire. Well done - well deserved!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lara, lara, larara....
Olé España. olé España, olé, España
