For me Moraira on the costa blanca is a lovely place, have just returned after a 3 week break its not far from Denia and is not as built up as some other nearby areas like Calpe etc.It has nice beaches a few good eateries and a good mix of nationalities. It is a bit more up market so you don't tend to get the beer bellied tatooed women like some other areas.

With it being splashed all over the news that Paramount are to build in kent and all the local council seeming to be all for it i would worry that the spanish one could be put on hold for a fair while yet.As people have said rent first make sure you like the area and then do your homework as to regards as what is selling and at what price, then work out what you need and what you can afford once you have done this you have to decide weather you believe the market has further to fall ( I DO ) if the fall is worth waiting for or you wish to have your place to enjoy with your family now as timing in my eyes is everything when it comes to children and the stages of their lives.

One thing my mum always taught me was that " there are a lot of poor people all they have is money."

good luck to everyone looking to have a slice of happiness its priceless.

As a teenager i would go to a mobile keebab van after the pub kicked out,the owner was fined for h&s matters and it came out that the meat was horse that he was serving, best keebab i have ever tasted.

I recently went away camping for the weekend and a friend of mine had just returned from france where he had purchased some duck and it was the best duck i have ever tasted, when i said so and asked why we don't get duck like it he explained it was illegal to sell it here as the ducks were force fed this i had a problem with this as its cruelity but eating a horse slaughtered in a way to cause least suffering as possible i have no trouble with.

When in spain and france i am sure i have eaten alsorts of things i wouldn't have if i knew before what they were.

But Norman as inflation rises and the mortgage loan shrinks the intrest rate will probably rise adding to the expence of the loan and taking away any saving that could possible be made, i am sure for some meaning the loan is no longer affordable.I think if i was to take out a mortgauge now to finance a spanish property i would take it out in the uk against my uk property so i didn't have to deal with the spanish banks and then have to worry about where the pound /euro dance went.
