Hi Duncan, I almost tend to agree with you, however the pools are fine, it's the area around the pools that is very limited. Although we do have some sanded area, although outside of the pool, beds could be placed. How is your pool fencing ?  ours has been very poorly constructed thin wood and wire to hold the gate on, which will be down in no time. When I asked the question regarding the poor fencing, I was told that Corvera have to fit fencing, that's fencing, when it comes down it will be the responsability of the community group to fix it. Not what you wanted to hear on the day you have just completed.

After you have completed, and as you form the first community, you have the right to complete a snagging list on the surrounding areas and request that items like the fencing be repaired or replaced, before you pick up the bill, at the cost of the developer

It is therefore important that somebody takes this to the community meeting and checks how these areas plus of course thing like community block entrances, paths and gardens will be checked

In the case of my own development we were able to get the pool fenced and the gravel that surrounded the pool replaced with tiles

On the subject of areas around the pools the key difference at Corvera unlike RODA they have fenced around the pools for safety and most seating places are the green and gravel areas outside of the fences whibh vary in size depending on the location of your pool

For young children surely it is better to have the safety of a fence and sit outside the area, if of course the febce is intact and the gate closes propèrly

The thing that struck me most about Corvera was the amount of space taken up by car parking.  Although the build is less dense than on Roda, unfortunately it seems to me that there are less green open spaces and I didn't see many of any significant size near the pool areas.

Build costs are reduced by not having underground parking and environmental concerns meant increased native planting and rahter than grassed areas (also cheaper to maintainin long term).  The net result in my opinion is disappointing and there is very little recreational / relaxation space for families apart from the numerous playgrounds.

I think a fence is needed but if you go to any of the polaris resorts they have fenced off pools with larger spaces to sunbathe

On Corvera there seems to be no room at all at the pool edges
