Hi

Does anyone know of a shop or trade/wholesalers in or near Dolores area called...Something like COOKIES/COOKIEZ/COOKZ or similar.

They sell English things and although open to the public they sell wholesale too...

Thanks in advance

To john zx

I am unsure as to where you get your comments from. You say:

(In the UK one cannot be prosecuted for being rude to, or insulting, a police officer and it would be unusual for a person, say pushing a police officer whilst arguing or being arrested by him/her, to be charged with an additional offence.)

Rest assured that you can be prosecuted for all of the above...In relation to the rude and/or insulting a Police Office, you have section 5 Public Order Act 1986, (Disorderly Conduct). Pushing a Police officer, you have Section 4 POA 1986, (Threatening Behaviour) You also have Resisting Arrest, Common Assault and Obstructing a Police Officer in the Lawful Execution of his/Her Duty.

The UK Police are not soft, they are just controlled by a rediculous Government.

Regards

Please allow me to introduce The Retreat – Alicante, our addictions recovery centre, based in the countryside of Aspe, Alicante.

We are a small team of addictions professionals who have come together to provide this urgently needed facility for English-speaking clients who are showing signs of addiction to Alcohol and/or Drugs.

Our 5 bed centre opened this year and we have already had some great successes with clients who have been treated here at The Retreat.  We hold qualifications recognised by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and hold post graduate diplomas in counselling.

Our experience in the UK has been in both formal and informal settings.  We have worked in psychiatric units of local hospitals in the South East of the UK as well as several Prisons throughout the UK with clients with both drug and alcohol problems. Our client groups have consisted of young people from the age of 11 showing signs of alcohol misuse, through to adults of retirement age.  We have over 20 years experience of working in this field.

We offer a 12 Step Addictions Treatment Programme which has a worldwide recognised success and is used in many treatment centres throughout the world.  It is most effective when used in conjunction with medical supervision, counselling and one to one therapies all designed specifically to compliment each other and to achieve the highest probability of success.

We would like to work with you and offer you a truly effective and affordable solution to addiction problems.  We already work closely with many healthcare professionals who refer patients to us here in Spain and from the UK.

Please take a few moments to look at our website www.retreatalicante.co.uk and should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me on enquiries@retreatalicante.co.uk or on the telephone number shown below.

With very best wishes and kindest regards for the Holiday season,

Hi Steve

No long and short. It's a nightmare. Firstly, do you speak fluent Spanish? You will need this when you go to Trafico. If you are going to re-register your English car, you need to have an NIE number and a Padron.

We drove down to Spain in January 09 in an English car. After being quoted around 2000 euro's to do it all for us, we decided it was easier and cheaper to buy a Spanish car.

Two things, firstly you can use a Gestor to do the paperwork for you, but they don't come cheap. Secondly, you can find someone that speaks Spanish to help you at Trafico, but expect to go back and forth a few times.

Where in Spain are you goig to be? I have a freind that is going with me to Trafico to change details on our car. I also know someone that buys and sells English and Spanish cars.

Hopethis helps.

Hi

The way i see it, is this. If you are a non resident and you have unearned income, you should pay the tax on it in your country of origin. If you are resident in Spain then you should pay the taxes there.

Having said that....We rent out properties for other people and i know that a lot of them do nothing and i do not know of any that have had to pay any consequencies....That's not to say that you couldn't be the first.

Cheers

Steve
