Hi, just need a little advice, I mentioned before about maybe moving to Salou  for 6 months or a year and being able to take my work with me because I can work online. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice on that. Just we have found a nice apartment near Cap Salou but I need to install business internet into it. The landlord said we can have internet but just wondering what company to go with because I need a business line because I will be working with big files. I know the internet cafes use business internet but I am a Graphic Designer and work with big files transfering them back and forth from UK to Spain. If anyone has any advice it would be greatfully received.

Hi guys and girls, hope you can help me with this one as I am so confused. Ok here goes, sorry if it is long winded.

My fiance is Chilean, lives and works in Salou, Spain (he has all the correct documents to live and work there, something about his grandmother). He has applied for his Spanish passport and has been told he has to wait about 1 year to 1.5 years for all the documentation to go through and for him to be issued with it. I on the other hand live in the UK. For nearly 2 years I and he have been flying back and forward to see each other for 4 days a month. Obviously costing money. His passport should be through sometime next year and we are planning the wedding for the end of 2011 here in the UK where we will settle. But he is getting himself an apartment at the end of this year, he has been living with his mother. So to save us money so we can save properly we thought it was best for me to move there and share the apartment for 6 months to 1 year. I can take my job to Spain as I am a graphic designer and can work online and they will pay me in my bank account (Barclays) as normal. There is Barclays in Salou.

My questions are:

What happens with my UK residence, do I have to come back after so many days to the UK to keep it open. I have the E something card already cos I go to Spain so often.

I will be keeping my mums address as my base is this ok?

What other obsticles do I have to overcome?

Hi guys and girls, I need a little help or advice please. I have seen a very abandoned property in Salou in Spain and was wondering how I would find out who owns it. I have looked up this place on the internet and someone has taken photos of it and called it Fidel's Villa in Salou, Spain. It is used at the moment by homeless and it is very run down but the potential is beautiful. I have visited it lots of times in the day and I absolutly love it but it would take a whole heap of money to renovate but it would just be nice to find out who owns it and how much it would be.

Can anyone give me a hand? If so I would be very grateful.

Just wondering if anyone knows the answer to this. There is a property on the cliff in Cap Salou which is, lets put it, in a real bad way. It is massive but I think that homeless people use it at the moment for certain activities. It sits overlooking the sea and a little alcove beach. It is so pretty but is now covered with graffite. Just wondering if anyone knows who owns it? Any help appreciated. Cheers

Hi I am new to this site, but I have a question if I may ask. I am interested in moving to the Salou, Cambrils area of Spain because I have met a man from Chile but who lives in Salou and we want to be together. I was wondering if there were any restrictions that would not allow me to come from the UK to live, but to work from home for my company I work for at the moment. I am a Graphic Designer and they don't want to lose me so have suggested if I do move, they could set me up working from home. Is there any restrictions on this?
