You should also be aware that if you are driving a foreign registered car in Spain, it must be road legal in it's own country to be road legal here.

For example, a British registered car must have a current MOT & road tax - if if doesn't have these things it is not road legal in Spain and an insurance company would be very unlikely to meet any claims - in theory the insurance would be invalid.

Some people get a Spanish ITV on foreign registered cars - it's not worth the paper it's printed on with reference to it making the car road legal in Spain, all it does is to confirm that the Spanish ITV department consider it roadworthy.

Depends on where you are as has already been said

but if you are in the Malaga or Nerja areas then  Bamboo Telecom do a wireless broadband connection for 30 euros per month and you don't need a landline

In the Marbella area mercury Internet provide a similar service for about the same price.

Hey FB - sorry - you did say SOME of it - but can't find anything about the buttons on the remote being pictures, or the cost of TV in Spain - sorry if I repeated some of what you said, but guess it doesn't hurt to get the same thing from different sources, does it?

There are a few UK companies that work for UK insurance & HP companies that come and re-possess cars in Spain.

They seem to get a lot of help from Guardia Civil & local police as long as the peperwork is in order and is translated. The Guardia Civil in Estepona are especially helpful - but make sure you can speak to them in Spanish or take someone who can
