Who is the pool company are they still in business. I would use legal to chase them as they will need to give you paperwork ( architect drawings, guarantee) for your deeds and your pool must still be under warranty. I would use a gestoria as advised.

We looked here for the reasons you stated I would strongly advise against. Surrounded by pig farms and fly city !!!! OMG been in Spain a while and never known anything like it. Lovely infrastructure etc but most have that....I think a little isolated. 

 

All the the golf resorts have high fees so think carefully on ongoing costs. Personally I love a bit of ex pat around as I would feel isolated if all Spanish.

 

good luck. Have a few months off and come over and rent the best way to buy is to live it for a while.

We did the move a while ago and have never looked back. 

 

We rented first....now know where we want to be. Don't underestimate the value of ex pats around you

We got our NIE

We got to know people in business, learnt about self employment and Spanish requirements

we learnt Spanish ( still learning, duolingo and 1:1 lessons)

We got our padrons

We are still learning everyday. 

Facebook has some amazing sites that really help you with advice and tips depending where your moving. 

 

Good of luck and enjoy. The whole brexit thing is not going to change stuff overnight so don't live your life worrying or future proofing too much.......life is sort live it and love it 🤗🤗🤗

I think the best insight is to go yourself. Rent a house and see what you think. We call it marmite it wasn't for us but the press it gets is unfair as lots of good people, beautiful houses and a great community.
