Just had e-mail to say that the developers have informed my solicitor that the completion is scheduled for the second half of January 2007.

Hi went to green valley last week for an inspection visit .

Only thing left to do was clean inside.

So  the developers want contracts to be signed before end of Janury

By the way the views from both front and rear are breath taking, overlooking the new Golf Course and also views of sea and Mountains

Following my visit last week I would reccomend that you don't complete prior to snagging, we found a lot of problems from cracked floor tiles which had been badly filled, large areas of damp and even large holes in the plaster behind the fridge freezer. The problems are to numerous to list and the communal areas are not finished and we did not see any workmen on site. We were very dissapointed as we had intended to stay in the house the last 2 nights of our trip but this was not possible due to the condition of the house. Floor polishing is a must as they have left them in a terrible state.

I have taken photo's but don't know how to add them to the site, if any one want's a copy let me know

The only good thing about the trip was our funiture company (Furniture Express), they visited the property to assess our requirements and came up with a very competive package which was taylor made for our needs and budget.

I have submitted my full snagging list and now await to see what action is taken.

We completed on 13th February and can only say that after our previous bad experience with purchasing a propety in Alcaidesa, this time has been  like a breath of fresh air.  We have purchased one of the two bedroom properties and are extremely pleased with the standard.

Fortunately we completed after a period of extremely wet weather which  exposed any weaknesses in the construction. We have only been a week back in Germany and my colleague has informed me that already the major problems have been addressed  and that is before we have submitted a snag list. Even the problem with the lying water on the golf course is being dealt with.

As to problems with the communal area, once again the extreme weather has highlighted the problems which we are sure will be remedied. .

We have been very pleased with the  way the completion has been conducted on the side of the developers and are optimistic  that Green Valley will prove to be a good investment.

Pleased that its gone well for you  but in complete contrast our experiance is quite the oposite and getting worse. We had some furniture delivered today (Furniture Express great  service) they reported a large pool of water in the living room caused by patio doors  that dont fit or seal, also damage to a aircon outlet that was not damaged on our snagging visit. After spending 400 Euros on having the marble floor polished muddy marks / scratches on the floor obviously caused by  developers workers not  taking care.

Finally they also reported that the developer has connected both the front and rear outside taps with hoses using our supply  and as we are on a water meter probably having to pay for it !!!!!!!! Still no information when all the snagging problems will be corrected and needless to say we are extremley frustrated and angry that after completing a month ago the property is still not in a fit condition to move into!!!!!!!!!!!

We've been in regular contact with Laine's over the last few days and have found them to be helpful, responsive, very efficient and nothing is too much trouble. It has given us the assurance and peace of mind we needed that things will be dealt with in our absence. I would recommend them.
