Hi yes we put a deposit down in Feb 2003 with the Southend branch of Palmera Properties, was told that we needed to be quick as the plots were selling fast and there were only a few left! 1st mistake! We were told by a young salesman that the properties were in a fantastic location not to far from the coast and also only a short drive from the ski slopes, at the time we didnt plan on keeping the property and asked about re-sales and we were told that wouldn't be any problem at all and we'd be given more than enough notice to sell the property! 2nd mistake! He also told us it was a 22 month build time and they'd just got started.

Some months latter we got a letter saying the southend brach had closed down and everything would be delt with at a spanish branch!

We didn't really have any more contact with them again for sometime, we phoned them a few times asking for progress reports but you either told they had no new info, you were put on hold or someone would ring you back, which they never did!

We found a few photos of the building work on there web site so we keeped a eye on those.

We eventualy decided  we'd better go out and have a look for ourselves how things were going so we booked a long weekend break flying out on  Fri Oct 7th 2005 only to get a letter from there completions dept asking for us to make arrangements to come to spain to sign all the relivant paperwork for completion on the thursday the day before we fly out there!!!!

On the Sat we put the address into the sat nav and set off looking for picena, we eventually found the development purched three quarters of the way up a mountin in the middle of no-where, a very helpfull spanish builder showed us round the property which I must say did look very nice, anyway I asked the builder about any skiing in the area and he point up the mountin so of we went,  after another 3/4 of an hour we reached the top where there was a cafe, it turned out it was cross country skiing not downhill..

On the monday we went to the local Palmera Properties office and told them that we had been miss-sold the property and we wouldn't be completing, she didn't sound at all surprised and we got the impresion we weren't the only unhappy people she'd had to deal with, she told us that we should at least get the deposit back but she couldn't say how much of it, she told us she'd pass all the details onto the legal dept and they'd be in touch.

When we returned we sent verious fax's saying we weren't completing but again whenever we rang them no one seemed to know anything or the person dealing with it was out of the office and they'd get back to us!!!

Since then which was last Nov we havent really heard anything from them since, we finally got through to there legal dept today some 10 months latter and again no-one seems to know anything so we're still no further on!!

If anyone else has any input regarding this development i'd be very interested to here it, Regards Darren

I would be really interested in hearing from any other buyers . I am going on Saturday 27.1.2007 and returning on 29.1.2007.  I have to decide if I'm going to go through with the purchase or not so I would be grateful for any other opinions out there.

Thanks,

Wendy
