The provision of Internet via the fibre optics, which of course should have been available on Roda from the outset, will obviously offer more consistent speeds. It would also negate the need for the unsightly small antennae that spring up everywhere.

However their packages are currently a little confusing and very pricey after the first 3 months for equivalent speeds.

I am told though that those who have switched are satisfied and also that their payg package is reasonably competitive.

Teleast will now offer speeds of up to 12Mbps for 26euros plus phone etc. Plus they offer payg packages.

Movistar are offering up to 20Mbps via landline for 40 odd inc phone and calls and mobile on contract.

Despite Spain being one of the first to offer Quad systems, prices are still not that competitive in more rural areas.

PS the basic TV package of the 6 UK channels plus regional as well as French which you can now receive digitally, is supplied by A2Z via the fibre optic NOT Teleast and cost very little from your EUCC fees.

You are paying Teleast only for Internet and Phone unless you have one of their digiboxes which was an additional 20 euros a month for many free to air channels.

A few Roda owners are switching to IPTV boxes for which you need decent and consistent speeds.

Teleast  having more problems, at least on Roda Golf.
Internet went down for a few hours last week apparently affecting everyone.
Now at least 50 properties have had no internet for 2 days due apparently to a software problem that the engineer is struggling to fix.
If they are not careful, more business will go to the likes of Martinez, Movistar or A2Z.
They also state only refund if Internet is down for 3 days, Spanish Law?

This does not affect TV transmissions which are now supplied by A2Z but they have had recent problems with the signal on some UK channels.
