Hi, I'm thinking of buying a place on Roda. Can people let me know the pros and cons of an apartment there. How far is it from the beach, would I need a car, how far from Los Alcazares, is there much to do on site etc. I would appreciate any advice, either on the forum or a pm. Thanks

Great you are thinking of buying on Roda. But Have you visited the area before? Just a tiny bit curious about your questions - if you haven't I would suggest that perhaps you visit the area first to see what you think before you commit yourself. Having said that we think it is beautiful!

Thanks for replying so quickly. I've never visited this area before, always a bit further north, but sons are into golf and this looks the nicest development I've looked at. Also the earnest to airport. I know it seems crazy, but I would like the views of people who stay there rather than the info that the estate agents are giving me as they tend to be a bit biased. Thanks

What I would suggest seriously is for you to come and visit the area and take it all in. Roda is a fantastic base with close access to a myriad of other golf courses, great restaurants and bars, other sports activities including sailing and windsurfing, etc near to the beach, 5 km from the airport (san javier), or 50 minutes drive on the motorway to Alicante, near to great historical cities of Murcia, Cartagena and Alicante - all in all it would be a good choice - in my humble opinion as an owner on Roda for nearly 7 years.
