I wonder if any owners can tell me if they have installed electricity card meters in their apartments, how they work and the ease of topping up etc. I often allow my friends and family to use my place free of charge but am always cautious about their use of the aircon. I don't mind giving them the use of the place gratis but to hang with paying for the leccy too! Thanks. Arlene.

The meter is a good idea, they come usually with a master card and instructions, and can be topped up fairly easily or set to free for the owner, the rate can be set by master card. 100 cards usually come with the meter and more can be purchased.

Meter can be fixed so guest pays for all electric or Just air con

Manageing the cards and keeping the meter topped up and having cards available may be a problem if you are not on site?

Cant remember the cost now Camposol Heating & Maintenance fitted ours

Cheers Mick. Am still a bit unsure of how it works as far as my electric company bills go. Where/how does the purchased credit get allocated to my electricity account with iberdrola and how does this work? How do I know that my electricity account is being credited? Any info glady received. Arlene.

Arlene you pay your bill as before and all cards sold is money in your pocket which you keep to offset the bill Iberdrola have nothing to do with it so effectively guests pay you for the electric they use but you still pay the bill as before. Obviously whoever looks after you place would have to sell the cards for you and set the meter etc.
