I was also taken in by all the promises by aifos and bank gaurantees and how it was illegal not to give these gaurantees in spain. but it proves one thing that spain is one of the most corrupt countries in the european union, when there own government wont up hold their own laws. About 2 years ago we were visiting friends near lake Venuela when on a sunday morning about a dozen police vehicle went past with sirens going . In the paper the following day was an artical reporting that all the people in a small village futher up in the hills had all been arrested . This was the mayor and his whole family plus the rest of the villagers, apparently one of his daughter had married a police official in malaga and he and rest of the village were responsible for issuing false papers and planning permission to hundreds of plots illegally. This is not uncommon in spain from what have read and heard. Should any body have any news or how we could do anything to get together over our problem of get our money back?????????? or not?????????.
