Hi All

some sad news in the local paper I was reading this morning in the Jungle (On Line) god I thought all the beaches in the area were the safest place I have ever swam in.

A 17-year-old youth drowned while on a trip to a beach in San Juan de los Terreros last weekend.

The teenager, whose identity has not been revealed, had been playing in the water with three other friends when he was swept away by a freak wave just metres from the shore on La Serena beach.

The tragedy occurred on Sunday afternoon (July 17) and a large rescue operation was immediately launched, involving Red Cross volunteers, civil protection units, a patrol boat and a maritime rescue helicopter

Richard I am stuck in the jungle reading all the Spanish newspapers and seen this so why not ask if anyone knew about it. By the way Richard if it was not for your last 2 posts nobody has posted on this site for months I am sick of reading all the garbage on the main site, god how many thick or gulable people can there be in the UK. Maybe people have just had enough of all the bad news coming out of Spain who knows anyway I am off to feed the animals have a great day everyone.

Here are some interesting or not so facts for you to look at.

If you had purchased £1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year
ago, you would have £49.00 today.
If you had purchased £1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you would
have £33.00 today.
If you had purchased £1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago,
you would have £0.00 today.
But, if you had purchased £1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all
the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for recycling refund, you
would have received £214.00.
Based on the above, the best current investment plan is to drink
heavily & recycle.

A recent study found that the average Briton walks about 900 miles a
year. Another study found that Britons drink, on average, 22 gallons
of alcohol a year. That means that, on average, Britons get about 41
miles to the gallon! Makes you proud to be British!!! .

Was at the beach that day with the kids and decided not to go in due to the wind and the waves being a bit big for a 6 year old , saw life guards out about 100 metres and the search helicoptor later on,thought there was 2 missing, a tradgic accident which makes you think about the power of the sea
