I can't reply to private messages. This forum doesn't allow me to do it

 Some of you have sent me private messages through this website but now the forum is not allowing me to get access to the messages facility or make new post with our contact details. ** EDITED - Please respect forum rules **

I guess this forum just allows the advise coming from lawyers who a paying them a fee for the publicity.

I have seen your GM Legal Experts website/forum and I am pleased that you are also standing up for consumer rights with regards to the Bank Guarantees situation.

So many Lawyers seem unwilling to take action against the Banks and Savings Banks who have clearly acted negligently and with a lack of due diligence over the past few years.

LEY 57/68 is a good law that gives 'Inalienable Rights' to the purchaser.  The preamble of the Law clearly explains the reasons for its implementation in 1968.  Now over 40 years later we are back in the same situation with regards to the crimes and illegalities being committed by the developers and banks.

Let us hope that 2010 and 2011 are the years when the consumer regains their rights in the Spanish property sector.

With regards to Private Messaging on Eye on Spain - I think you have to make 10 posts before you can reply to Private Messages or before you can include website links / email addresses in your postings.

I am sure any Lawyer can post on Eye on Spain irrespective of whether they pay to advertise on the site.

 Guadalupe, the forum rules are VERY clear.  NO commercial posts.  I am sure you will have taken the time to read them.

ANY lawyer can post on the forum and give advice to people.  You can put your business address in your signature which is a lot more than some other Spain forums allow.

What you CAN'T do is use the posts to say "call me" "get in touch with me" "I can help you, email me" etc.  

You just can't do that.

How can I possibly know that YOU are a trustworthy lawyer?  Why should I let YOU actively encourage people to contact you when no one else is allowed to do it?  Most lawyers who do want to do it at least have the decency to ask us first.

Being a lawyer, if anyone should be respecting the rules then it should be you.  And yes, another reason that we don't allow commercial posts is that if it wasn't for those businesses that actually bother to contribute some money to keep this website going then you wouldn't have a platform from which to vent your anger towards us!

Rules are rules, surely being a lawyer you understand that?

I therefore ask you again, give people advice but DO NOT actively encourage people to get in touch with you.  That's not what the forums are for.
