New restaurant near Roda

Some of the Roda Clubhouse regulars will no doubt remember Maria who used to supervise the restaurant both in the temporary clubhouse and the new clubhouse. She and her husband Fernando have just opened their own gorgeous new restaurant and tapas bar just over the flyover near the Golden Gate restaurant, the large Chinese shop, the Wok Buffet, LA Golf and Barclays.

It is calle La Vid de Ojeda and is easy to spot from the dual carraigeway when you just come off the motorway. 

It opened on Tuesday and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had lunch there today and it was excellent with great service, wine and food. It is great to have a new local bar/restaurant serving great food at good prices and with plenty of parking right outside and I am sure that Maria will have a warm welcome for all from Roda as she has good memories of working here. Maria and Fernando both speak good english and the menu is in both english and spanish.

It is certainly worth a visit and this is not advertising but I felt that it would be useful for people to know that there is an alternative place to eat out especially one which is so handy to Roda and which is owned by Maria who was so popular in the Clubhouse when she was here.

It is so refreshing, in such times that we are currently experiencing, to have a fabulous new venue in which to enjoy the Spanish atmosphere.

The decoration is very tasteful, as is the furniture and the hospitality is unrivaled.

will have to give it a try, nice to have a Spanish bar/restaurant opening in a area full of expensive english ones.  Must just say that the Golden Gate is very good and not that expensive

Well just back from Roda and Moira was right a great little tapas bar which we visited on several occasions. The service was great and the food even better. I have taken a few photo and will post on our site for people to take a look as soon as I get time.
