Registering a car?????

 Hi folks.

Long time no speak on here so let me first wish you all a happy new year!!!

Here's the thing, I have just been very kindly offered an old  Vauxhall Astra, its got low miles and is in good nick so I  had thought about leaving it down there in Spain. Its a standard UK car.

No doubt this would require getting it registered and insured there, have any of you went through this process?

What sort of costs are involved and how does the process work, also can anyone suggest a good insurance company there, I would like it insured any driver so family members etc could drive it when there.

Any help would be appreciated .

Hope you had a great xmas. 

As far as we know it cost's around 500.00 - 700.00 euros to spanish register it. All cars are insured not the driver as long as they are over 25 and under 65 they can drive it.

Yanka at legal services does this she deals with all the paper work.
