Maureen has given in and went and hired a car today - she's calling in and collecting returned Petition Letters from Coto Real Owners

Just spoke to Chris Olsen, from the Manilva Foreigners Department and advised him of the EOS video shoot Thursday morning, and the terrible state of the road.

Further to my phone call to Chris Olsen this morning, and your call back to me on behalf of Mayoress Antonia Munoz.

I'm very appreciative of your phone call, and as you requested, please find attached a copy of the Petition Letter from Owners on Coto Real addressed to our Mayoress.

As explained, the state of the road affects at least two Urbanisations, Arenal Duquesa, and ourselves at Coto Real, but for different reasons.

1. For Arenal Duquesa, because the road is not completed, half of the apartments cannot get their First License. This has dragged on for at least three years and I know many purchasers have cancelled their contracts because they can't get a completion date. Indeed we personally had bought on Arenal Duquesa but cancelled Dec 07 because of this, and then bought on Coto Real.

2. For ourselves at Coto Real, the approach road is much worse - the road is gradually crumbling away, is unlit, and a real hazzard for cars, never mind pedestrians. Many mothers have to walk this stretch to bring their children to and from school. It's also a blight for rental and sales prospects.

At our AGM 27th March 09 we were advised by our developer Ros y Falcon to write to the Town Hall, hence the Petition Letter attached.

We also organised with Justin Aldridge from Eye on Spain www.eyeonspain.com to do a video shoot Thursday 17th April 09, 10.30am. Many Owners and Residents will be turning up for this, and the shoot will contain many interviews with them. Eye On Spain are also hoping to have an interview with the Town Hall.

You will appreciate that because for years Owners never had any communication, many rumours abound.

We apologise to the Mayoress if we have went about this the wrong way but you must understand the sheer frustration and anger that both Urbanisations feel after so many years.

I'm happy that we have now established a link direct to Town Hall - I'm happy to act as a conduit for both Urbanisations - if you let me have the latest information with the exact situation with the road with any details regarding re-commencement of work and completion dates, I'm happy to act as a conduit to both Urbanisations and ensure that any information is circulated.

I appreciate you coming back to me - I have copied the Coto Real Management Board and will let Arenal Duquesa and Coto Real Owners know.

Communication is the key to this situation - even bad news is much better than no news at all so if we were kept up to date with developments that would be a huge step forward.

I'm sure both Urbanisation's will lend help to the Mayoress in anyway we can in order to progress this to a satisfactory conclusion.

We greatly appreciate the efforts the Mayoress is already making and look forward to future reports.

I'm over in Manilva the last week in May 09 and would welcome the opportunity of myself and colleagues calling in to quickly introduce ourselves if that's possible.
