agm e-mail

To everyone who has an apartment in Grand golf. Having just returned yesterday the place is looking well. Spoke to a spanish guy who is resident in Block 8 and he is concerned about the future of the complex. As can be seen from the e-mail I received today the builders are not paying their monthly fees now totalling 70k plus the second builder of about 11k. If you have not received this balance sheet please let me know and i can forward it to your e-mail address.

His concerns were that while the gardens are now looking nice there have been no gardeners on site for some time, he says that they haven't been paid...................... another set of gardeners were brought in to dicky up the place knowing that residents would be arriving for the summer and from here on. Secondly the security men have changed, there is now no security between 1 and 5pm and he feels they may not be getting paid either ???

He is a nice lad who is a qualified lawyer but not working as a lawyer at the moment. If anyone wants his e-mail address I can give it to you as he is trying to build up a profile of owners especially those who will not be there for the AGM on 8th April and can forward a proxy vote for him to use.  He does not want to be the Administrator himself but feels we need to get in a new impartial and independent person as Javier is connected to the builder and telling people what he wants them to hear as against what is really going on.  There could be trouble ahead in the future................look at the list of debtors and the balance sheet.

That's a bit of disturbing news. We will be there for the AGM, but can you tell us where it is going to be held ?

I feel sure that you are right and we need to another independent person to run this as Javier does sound like he is in the developer's pocket and thst isn't any good for the owners.

I do believe it is quite normal practise in Spain for these debts but find it unbelieveable and it makes yoou wonder wether to withold your own contribution if we don't know where it's going.

Please let us know about the AGM whereabouts.

did you get the e-mail regarding the details of expenditure and list of unpaid debtors. If not pm me your e-mail address and I will forward it to you.  the details of the meeting are on the e-mail. It is being held in Block 9, the communal building where the jacuzzi is lying idle !!

Won't be there ourselves but will be giving our proxy vote to Juan who lives in our Block 8 who brought all this to our attention. You will have my e-mail address when I send the details to you so I would be delighted with an update when its over. I believe you know Avril and Mary, I have been in touch with them too. Avril is going out but will be coming home the day before the meeting.
