Mike,

When we went over in September to move the furniture into our apartment, the furniture did'nt arrive unti the Wednesday, so we stayed at the Duquesa Golf Hotel for 3 nights, It is just on the right hand side of the main road further up from the complex, just pull off the road into the Duquesa Golf Club and drive up to the top of the drive. It's a bit expensive but nice!!! Have a look on the web, type in Duquesa Golf Hotel and a number of sites offering the hotel come up.

i stayed last week in the duquesa suites golf hotel it is very nice cost 80 euros per night room only booked via venere.com.

It is a 10 minute walk to the port  via the bridge and about a 25 minute walk to the development along the seafront

I have stayed here also,in Feb this year.  Very good, comfortable and very clean.  I paid 65 euros per night, I think it was through wish travel.com...not sure though will have to check.

My husband particularly enjoyed it as a few glamour models had checked in, due to them filming up the road in a private villa...

We have stayed several times at the Hotel Dona Luisa on Sabinillas sea front.  It is not as plush as the Duquesa Suites, but waking up with that view over the sea makes up for a lot.    The owners are also very friendly.

On my last flying visit before completion, I spent a night in the Hotel Don Agustin which is almost next door to the Dona Luisa.  The hotel is brand new and the staff are nice, but it is not very Spanish in atmosphere, more designer chic,  and does not have the stunning views.

Another option is the Hostal Ocana in Manilva.   We have not stayed there, but it looks really traditional Spanish on its website and is very cheap.
