Need to sell my Aunty's house quickly help!

 We bought a 2 bed appartment in Miriad 11 in April 2006 and we still do not have any news of completion! Found your messages really useful and encouraging. We are going out to Pinares on 24th July, so will take photos and try to find out some more information.

Hi one and all Thought I would add my 'two pennies worth'. We put our deposit down in May 06, on our 2 bed place in Block 3 of Mirada 2. We have been over every 6 months to check on things, and I think Marisa in the Sales office is probably fed with all the questions I have each time I visit the site. Like most of you, we were expecting to complete on our place at the end of 2007, so went out in March 08 with the view to finalize everything. Well we all know the story.... We were told at the time although our apartment was complete (which it was), the delay in the site completion was due to the infrastructure contractor and not our developer. So we were unable to use it this summer as planned, so we were a bit hacked off about that. Now it's looking more like Sept / Oct. My concern is that we spoke to the bank manager at CajaSur in Nov 07, he offered us the mortgage that came with the apartment, which we said we would take, and we haven't heard anything since. I would like to know if anyone else is in this same position? As I work for one of the big 4 banks in England, I'm surprised that the offer hasn't expired due to the strength of the euro. Currently I think we are looking at an additional £170 a month, since when we spoke to CajaSur. Has anyone heard anything about likely community charges? I am happy to post some photos from our trip in March for folks to see. Hoping to hear from some others soon Sue & George XLB

We have also heard about the construction delays.  We were scheduled to close on Block 6 in the fall, but that now looks unlikely.  

There are provisions for withholding payments if there are significant delays in construction of the development.  Has anyone withheld payments because of this?  We are wondering if we should submit our next payment due to the delays.

hi we bought appartment in fase 2 block 2 last november been told appartment is finished but until infrastructure is finished we cant use the date we were given is november     James

Hi, I contacted  today the architect in charge on behalf of the Mijas local council and he told me that the promoter has not comply with the terms of the agreement with the lovcal council and no solution is foreseen in the short term. I guess it is time to think about getting our money back.  Best, Fran

Still waiting, although not so patiently! like others we are worried about the mortgage now and feel a bit cheated as we are now almost a year over due!
If anyone has any good news on getting money back, please let us know.

Hi Just back last week
Progress we think our unit attico in Block 5 is well advanced Pool being finished Lifts in ,decoratation to most areas including the garage
Some rendering/stone to lower walls outstanding
Our unit was nearly finished bar finals in bathroom but were being fitted as we visited on the 6th
The big question is when handover
Marrisa thought Dec Jan for ours During the week we were there the roads in the development were tarmaced up to base including the drives to carparking for all blocks. Pavements laid withing the development and all kerbs on the dual carriageway and pavements in so road subbase was expected any day.
Road up to towards the golf course in althouth could get beyond the hill due to security. Street lights in. Trees planted in kerb pots also
Main heap of soil next to lower blocks being reduced readying for pylons to be removed
