Hi to all SG'ers

we completed at last a couple of weeks ago, everything went smoothly
just to say that sierra golf has a great atomsphere and everyone is very friendly and helpful
a big thanks to everyone who helped us out with advice and gettng things done, rob and sue, 
barrie and sylvie, jackie and steve, ray and dennis and everyone else out there i have missed..
thanks to Ian and Heather for the use of your open - its lovely..
 
we cant wait to get back out in august...  hopefully they MIGHT have started digging my pool by then...

I see that quite a few people are now moving in has anyone approached masa about conpensation for the wait and inconvienance or is everyone just glad to complete at last

I think you will fnd most people have tried to get compensation out of Masa over the last few years,  but it seems to be a losing battle.

Compensation 
No Chance.  
They don't reply to e mails or letters and when we approached as they had gone over what we thought was the contract date. 
And this was only about a year,  not like years others have waited. We were told by the agents Masa replied that in the contract if delay is out of their control, they would not be responsibile and anything that is delayed will always be due to a third party :-
Electric or water suppliers, local authoritiy, strikes road not finished (builders) etc. 
We gave up and jsut felt we wanted our escape in the sun and even if there is no pool or bar are still looking forward to enjoying it the people you meet on site make up for many of the snags.
