Discovering a new life in Costa Almeria

Having made the decision that full time work really is bad for your health,my husband convinced me that we should get 2 puppies and retire early. What I hadn't anticipated was that retirement would see us in Almeria, in southern Spain. This is our story from making the decision to move to our life here. For more posts read the full blog at http://relocatetospain.blogspot.com. What I hadn't realised was that I wasn't ready to retire so after 2 years we are back in the UK. However, when I am finally ready to retire - Spain is still in the mix.

Schools out for Summer!
Wednesday, June 24, 2009 @ 6:17 PM

This week has seen a number of classes finish for summer. Our Saturday class helping the local children with their English finished last Saturday - with a picnic on the beach, Monday saw the end of their school year and the end of Line Dancing classes in Terreros.

Today was our final spanish class until September 9th. We are planning to keep meeting each week for breakfast and spanish only conversation - just so that we don't forget everything we have learnt over the last 9 months. I'm hiping there'll be a couple of weeks re-capping when we start again.

So, summer can start - no classes and better still, no homework - just weeks and weeks of sunshine.

What starts soon - 3 times a week gym classes on the beach?

No thanks, I'll stick to golf.
