Official EOS Blog

We're always working really hard to bring you new and exciting features to Eye on Spain. We also make plenty of mistakes so we want to use this blog to keep you up to date with what's new (and what's wrong) with EOS.

The new website is live
Wednesday, February 25, 2009 @ 5:41 PM

As you will have noticed the new wesite is now up and running.  Please bear with us for the next few hours whilst we sort out all the errors that are appearing!

For those of you who use the community/ off plan forums, you can now find links to your saved messages boards under the "Community" tab in the forum.

You will also find links to the development photos there too.  You need to be logged in to see the photos and the links to your development forums.

The new website is a massive change behind the scenes and will enable us now to add all the new features that we have planned over the coming weeks.

I hope you enjoy the new site and just leave a comment on this blog if you are having any specific problems with it.

Justin

Personally I don't like it, sorry.

1) I find it difficult to negotiate & most new members didn't seem to know where to post before (seemingly) so I think they'll be even more confused.

2) Members have been sending me PMs today & where it used to say 'reply' it now has a box with a red X inside.

3) Site WON'T allow copy & paste so that'll cause problems if members want to post a link unless they post address, which isn't what I do.

4) I want to delete some of the development forums I had joined but STILL there's no facility to do this personally. We all need to ask you.

5) PMs: Currently I have many messages running on ONE thread & these are on various pages in my PMs. Why can't I just have ONE line with the TOTAL thread on it ? I want to be able to delete all but one NOT have ten lines because so & so & I have each written five messages to each other. I really don't know how best to explain this. By doing what I (& others) would like, our PMs will be kept neater & much easier to read. They are very bunched up too on new site.

6) On default page where it says 'latest webisode' on the right it's written inside a long oblong box with a small box containing a red x.

7) On default page to the left of where it says 'latest blog posts' it also has an oblong box, with 'latest blog posts' written inside it with a small box with a red x inside that one.

8) Ditto where it says 'latest developments'.

9) At the bottom where it says about Alan Sugar there's a long box with 'Alan Sugar' in plus a small box containing a red X.

10) Under 'community' the menu has TWO 'private messages', one in upper case, one in lower case, each one taking me to my messages.

11) Searched for more & found, on car hire page, you've put 'proivdes' instead of 'provides' at bottom.

Think I've said enough.

Regards

Morerosado

Just looked at 'customise' &, when I change colour, I seem to lose some of the headings or they just cannot be seen.

I'm hoping search facility is much better as, without this, it's hard to find certain things. It becomes so frustrating.

I never could locate posts by Jacqui, that's 'J&N', now I can, thanks.

Another problem..

At the bottom of Maria de Castro's posts, in her signature, instead of all the usual I just see 'El Blog de Maria' within a long box also with a small box with a red x cross inside to the left.

Hi team

I've noticed I can only read last 50 posts by members unlike before where I could read all. Can we have this changed as I can't find some posts I wanted now.

If you go to this page http://www.eyeonspain.com/blogs/weblogs.aspx
and click on my latest post about Nationwide it won't show.
You get ...
The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please try the following:

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Open the www.eyeonspain.com home page, and then look for links to the information you want.
Click the Back button to try another link.
Click Search to look for information on the Internet.
HTTP 400 - Bad Request
Internet Explorer

However, if you click on More's Blog it will take to my blog & you can read it from there. Very odd.
