 Hi

Not quite sure if this is the right forum but I wanted to see if anyone had ever tried to sue the agent that they bought the property through?  My agent repeatedly told me that I didn't need a bank guarantee when it now appears obvious that I did (the development has gone into administration).  I've asked the agent if they had professional indemnity insurance (the premise being that if they gave negligent advice then I could sue them) but they've said they didn't need it because the contract was with the developer which doesn't somehow seem right.  I'd be grateful for any info anyone could give on this.

Many thanks.

Even if your agent failed to tell you that a bank guarantee is needed, did your lawyer not cover this? You may have more luck suing them as no doubt you had a letter of engagement.........
