Can ayone tell me which actual car hire companies are based on site at Alicante. In april this year we hired a car just as the airport had opened and had to wait for a shuttle bus to drive us to a location 1 mile down the road and had the added complication of driving the car back there and then had to be shuttled back. It all took so much longer than walking through like we usually have done.

I know hertz are at the back but they are epxensive, who else is based on site please?

I have a 3 bed 2 bath ground floor apartment overlooking golf and lake with southwest views. I have rented it out for most of the summer except a couple of weeks in June this year.It is also let a bit through April and May.

It is furnished to an exceptionally high standard, with WIFI, 2 plasma tvs and all the mod cons you would want. Ground floor carries a premium for families with younger children who are worried about balconies on higher floors so they tend to rent to families quicker.

That said there  are a number of properties not sold yet so those who have completed do not have that much competition at present. As more sell then you will need to be very price competitive as well as spec it out a high standard.

That said the 3 bed properties let for less than a villa and you have the added advantage of not having to manage your own pool. We are delighted with ours even though we did buy at the top of the market.

Hello all

I have booked through argus car hire and my car pick up is Bravo rent a car in Alicante......... they also seem to be based in public parking first floor..... so thanks to tonynault for the heads up on how to access the first floor............ as never done it before.

I have posted before that if you own an AMEX card then providing what type of card you have, all the excess is covered by them. I have used many car hire companies out of Murcia and Alicante and each experience is different and not that great

has anyone had any dealings with this broker. looking for 2 weeks over easter holidays for an estate car and the usual suspects are all charging around £400 but this firm are charging £200. I booked on line pretty quick, they take your money then say they will get back to in a week with status of booking............ whatever that means........... no one answers the phone and the live help desk chat room provides limited information.

Are they legit?

If anyone from a TV company is reading this then 'Tenants from Hell' like Homes  from hell and Holiday from Hell would make a very good programme.

I cannot believe how even a week's holiday let can be left in such a mess.......... Do people really think it is not mine so why should I care............  

We do not do long term lets on our property but even the holiday lets are giving me cause for concern.......... Maybe people from the UK on holiday like to live like pigs...........

I think these people should be named and shamed.................
