Can anyone advise if there is a change in Halifax policy for transfers from Halifax UK to Halifax ES. I have a client who has set up Spanish accounts and he has been advised that he cannot set up an automated monthly payment Halifax UK to Halifax ES can anyone clarify please - all you regular users do you have a STO or DD - or do you contact them on a regular basis to make transfers?

Unusual for me to ask a question. 

 

Hi Smiley, going by other posts regarding the Halifax, they do not offer that service. You will have to transfer each month manually!

Thanks guys for that - someone in Halifax Plc needs to tell Halifax Hispania - they have been telling clients automated payments can be set up UK to Spain. In this modern age how difficult could it be as long as one sets an exchange rate for a set period just as you can with a currency broker - numbnuts! Their bloody interbank forex department trade futures and forward F/X why cant they do it for consumers - reckon it must lose them quite a lot of biz!

What I meant janice was a DD or standing order - I know that payments can be done online but busy people havent always got the time to remember they need to send a payment to deal with the mortgage on a monthly basis.
