Does anyone out there know if its possible to sell a Spanish property and receive the money directly into a UK bank account from the buyers UK bank account, saving both of us costs by avoiding the need for the seller to exchange GBP to Euros and me from changing the Euros back to GBP.
Thanks.

Hi Gswain,
I have had a client that did just this last week.
You can't do it all in Sterling and you do have to raise a Bankers draft from the UK but yes it is a simple enough process(confuses the notary a little).
You will have to have some euros as the costs and retentions have to be paid in euros.
The client in question had to have approx 15,000€ from a sale price of 200,000€.
Hope that helps
Regards
Georgia
