the only reason i remebered it was St Georges day is because it is my sons birthday tommorow.
I suppose England is awash with street parties,its a national holiday,flags everywhere,people celebrating the national heritage and on and on...........?

Also International Book Day, which I read this week originates in Catalunya and coincides with the anniversary of the birth & death of Cervantes, and coincidentally, Shakespeare. The Torremolinos literati are a bit thin on the ground these days, but a friend of mine in Palma de Mallorca reports that the streets are awash with books today! Anyone else got a book fair going on?
