I have noticed that you can receive incapacity benefit whilst living in Spain but not disability Living Allowance - does anyone know why this is?

I would think that disability living allowance is for those living in the UK, after all its based on the cost of living in the UK funded by UK tax payers. I'm working with the tax and benefit agencies in the UK in identifying individuals who are either claiming allowances fraudulently or not declaring their earnings in Spain. if you suspect anyone of this I'd appreciate if you would forward their details or contact me and i'll give you the number to call.
Remember these people are stealing from the hard working people in the UK and also not contributing anything to those who need help from the social system in Spain.
think about it....

The courts have recently upheld an appeal against non payment of DLA and Carer's Allowance abroad. I think the DWP are considering an appeal. In the meantime see this link.

Information re payment of all benefits abroad can be found on the internet.
