Long term car rent, from 1 - 6 months?

What could be best option if anyone need car for period from one month up to six months? The usual car rent become too expensive. From the other side period is too short to make sense to buy or lease the car.

Is there any services available in Spain for this? Thank you in advance.

Normally you can negotiate with rental firms over this type of thing.

We always went to Solmar and they were very good, giving us the car well below the advertised rate. I think we payed the first month full rate and the rate was reduced for every month after that. Then after about 4 months the car had to go for service and they sent a guy over to bring us a replacement car and take ours away. No hassle whatsoever. When we returned the car there was some minor damage from a parking incident which we reported to them but they said, don't worry.
